Intelligence officer killed in South Kashmir | KNO

Pulwama, October 27 (KNO) : The man whose bullet-riddled body was found in orchard at Chewakalan area of Pulwama district of south Kashmir has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, an Sub Inspector with police. Sources told KNO that Mir, was working in CID department of Jammu and Kashmir Police as Sub inspector. They said that Mir was travelling in his Car (JK01AD-3852) when militants abducted and later took him to a nearby Rumshi Nallah where he was Shot dead. Official Sources said that that, A case has been registered in this Regard and further investigation had been taken up to nab the attackers. Pertinently, Over the last three years, south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama have become the epicentre of Militancy and police official targeted frequently.
